What we book
The ends, not the middle.
A day booked from Kingston in March is a day you cannot change in September when you are standing there tired.
Booked before you go
- Long-haul flights
- the first and last night
- anything with one operator (a permit
- a boat
- a train with reservations)
- and anything that sells out
Left alone on purpose
- Middle nights
- all meals
- day trips
- local transport
- and every hour that is better decided on the ground
If you want everything booked
We will do it, and we will say once that we think it is a mistake. After that it is your trip and we will plan it properly, hour by hour, without sulking about it.
Notes
Things we end up saying twice a week.
Written down so that the call can be about your trip instead.
Why we do not take hotel commission
Because it decides where you sleep.
The middle of a trip should be empty
The days people remember are the unbooked ones.
What a package price is hiding
Not a scandal — just a number you cannot see inside.
The months we talk people out of
August is the obvious one. It is not the only one.
Book the flight last, not first
The shape of the trip decides the airport you fly home from.
