What we charge
One fee, and nothing behind it.
One flat fee for the planning, whatever the trip costs. It is the whole of what we make, and it is the reason nothing on this site is a recommendation we were paid to give.
| Travelling | Planning fee |
|---|---|
| One person | $180 |
| Two | $260 |
| Three or four | $380 |
| Five or more | $540 |
| Rebooking what we booked, while you are away | $0 |
What the fee buys
- A trip shaped by someone who has been, not assembled from listings.
- The bookings that have to be made, made — and the ones that should not be, argued about once.
- The cost sheet, itemised, before you commit to anything.
- A number that reaches a person while you are away, and rebooking at no further charge.
What we never take
- Hotel commission. Not reduced — none.
- A percentage of what you spend.
- Booking fees, card fees, or a mark-up on a transfer.
- Money from an operator to put them in front of you.
Why this matters more than it sounds
A commissioned agent is paid by the hotel. That is not corruption, it is just arithmetic: the places that pay more get recommended more, and the cheaper place that would have suited you better never comes up. Charging you directly is the only arrangement where our advice and your interest point the same way.
It also means we can say go in September instead, or book fewer nights, or you do not need us for this one — all three of which we have said this year.
